Jamie Lamont is a 21-year-old soul-pop artist carving her lane in Australia’s music scene. Known for her powerhouse vocals, infectious grooves and vibrant storytelling, Jamie creates music that feels both bold and deeply personal.

 

Inspired by soul icons like Chaka Khan and Joss Stone, alongside contemporary artists such as RAYE and Olivia Dean, Jamie is drawn to music that feels larger than life. Her songs showcase rich, sultry vocals and honest storytelling, exploring the realities of growing up, finding self-confidence, navigating relationships, and trying to make sense of the world as she transitions from her late teens into her early twenties.

 

Jamie gained national recognition as a Top 21 finalist on Australian Idol, showcasing her vocal power and on-screen charisma to audiences across the country. During her time on the show, she impressed some of Australia’s industry heavyweights, including Jessica Mauboy, Amy Shark and Marcia Hines, while also gaining recognition from international soul legend Amii Stewart.

 

At just 21, Jamie is a seasoned live performer. She has appeared at Blues on Broadbeach alongside Jimmy Barnes and The Cruel Sea, and shared the stage with acclaimed act Killing Heidi. Her powerful live presence and commanding performances continue to establish her as an exciting emerging Australian artist.

 

As Jamie releases her debut album single by single over the next 12 months, she is bringing her own voice to the genre by creating music that feels raw, empowering and authentic to who she is as an artist. She has just released “Alibi”, the first single from her debut album, available to listen to now on all streaming platforms.
